New 2012-2013 Massage Therapy Schedule:

We have the new 2012-2013 schedule for the 500hr Massage Therapy program.  The class begins Aug.30, 2012 and ends April 26, 2013. Check the calendar for exact dates.

New Equine Massage Therapy Class:

80hr certification program

Classes are designed to stand alone, so students may start the equine class at any of the classes. Next Class is June 18,2011 from 9am-5pm.  Also some of the dates for the equine classes have changed, please check the calendar for the new dates.    

Meet our Instructors

Our Instructors are:

Susan Hartzog LMT, CST, MTI

Owner/School Director/ Instructor for 500 Hr basic course

Graduated from Massage school in 1996.  Owns and operates Nature's Hideaway school-spa complex.  She has fourteen years massage therapy experience.  Susan is a Certified CranioSacral Therapist and Certified Teacher Assistant for the Upledger Institute where she has also taken numerous classes.  CranioSacral Therapy Advanced, CranioSacral Therapy for Pediatrics, Somato-Emotional Release, The Brain Speaks, Applied acupressure and Lymph Drainage Therapy.  Susan is also certified in Thai massage and Equine Massage.

David Hartzog LMT, MTI

Assistant Director/ Instructor for 500 Hr. basic course

Graduated from Massage school in 1996.  Owns and operates Nature's Hideaway school-spa complex.  David has been actively performing Massage Therapy and CranioSacral Therapy for fourteen years.  He is certified in Equine massage and Thai massage.  David specializes in deep tissue and sports massage.  David has completed his studies in Natural Medicine and Homeopathy and is a practicing Naturopath.  He is currently studying the use of essential oils.

Mary Freeman LMT, MTI

Instructor for 500 Hr. basic course

Graduated Massage school in June 2002, she has been a licensed massage therapist for seven years.  She has taken advanced courses in spa training and hydrotherapy.  She has been working as a therapist for Nature's Hideaway for seven years.  She has taken course studies in CranioSacral Therapy, lymphatic drainage, and is a teaching assistant for The Upledger Institute.  

Jaree Browning LMT, MTI 

Instructor for 500 Hr. basic course

Jaree went to TAM University and has a love for the sciences.  In 2008 she graduated from Healing Handz Massage Academy.  She worked in a chiropractic facility as a licensed massage therapist for over a year.  Jaree is certified in Thai Massage and Equine Massage.  She has advanced training in spa, hydrotherapy and Essential oils.  Her current studies have taken her to the first level of CranioSacral Therapy training.

Kim Painter LMT

Instructor for Kinesiology

Kim Painter has 25 years experience as a healthcare practictioner specializing in complementary, holistic approaches to healing.  She earned a BS in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 1986. It was there she was introduced to Craniosacral therapy, which forms the foundation of her current practice. Desiring more knowledge about complementary therapies, she earned a Masters in Natural Health from Clayton College of Natural Health in 2005 and was licensed as a massage therapist after training at Healing Handz Massage Academy in 2009.  She has worked in a variety of health care settings, including acute care hospitals, a pediatric hospital, the public school system and private practice specializing in manual therapy.  When not working, she spends her time with her husband and four kids.
